I was headed for Pevensey at about 3pm expecting to fly a kite with the kids and have fish and chips on the beach for tea, when a mate of mine called to say that he was down at his pad in Normans Bay, so swift change in direction saw me arrive to beautiful day and much more breeze than I thought. I'd thrown my big board and sail on the car just in case and upon arrival I was kicking myself that I hadn't brought my 6.5m. Spent a couple of hours blasting around nicely powered up on my 7.8 (thanks Grafix - first outing on it). My mate was out in his canoe fishing for mackeral so a lot of fun spraying him with the board's wake.

Then bbq'd mackeral for supper and drinks on the beach as the sun went down. Just got home a very happy boy.
